Thisara Nanayakkara, the brother of former Minister of Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara, has been remanded until the 17th.
The order was issued by Gampaha Magistrate Silani Perera.
Thisara Nanayakkara was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department in the Bibile area recently, in connection with a fraud involving 3 million rupees, under the pretense of providing employment in Finland.
Further investigations are underway to determine if other individuals were involved in this scheme.
However, Thisara Nanayakkara was not present in court today.
